Jamin Bradley’s creative journey started in kindergarten with a plan to become a pastor—just like his father and grandfather. But that path was quickly rivaled by a guitar in middle school and a deep love for making music.
By high school, he was performing across metro Detroit with his band Trilogy, and in college, he pushed genre boundaries with The Newfangled Sequence, a band that aimed to blend styles in ways no one had heard before.During college, Jamin found a way to merge his passion for pastoring with his music, stepping into worship leading while quietly nurturing hopes of a music career. But after glimpsing the business side of the Christian music industry, those hopes faded.
What emerged instead was something more sustainable: a redemptive, pastoral approach to songwriting that continues to shape his music today.“I’m still learning to be content with music that targets the heart instead of the masses,” Jamin reflects.
Musical Influences:
MuteMath, John Mark McMillan, Twenty One Pilots, BT, Coldplay, and Paper Route make up the mosaic of Jamin’s musical DNA.
MuteMath, BT, and Twenty One Pilots gave him permission to get weird with sound. John Mark McMillan showed him that lyrics could carry real spiritual weight.
The result?
A genre-bending approach that blends experimental creativity with theological depth.

About Artist

Jai Bird’s musical journey began in a Baptist church where she sang as a child, later leading praise teams in high school. “Music became my way of processing everything,” Jai reflects. But life took some difficult turns, and she found herself stepping away from both church and music during some of her lowest moments. It was her grandfather’s gift of a guitar that became her lifeline - locked in her bedroom, she taught herself to play and discovered how to blend her love of poetry with melody and rhythm. After years of writing songs privately since age 16, she’s finally ready to share these deeply personal stories with the world. Her songs come from a place of raw honesty about struggle, faith, and finding your voice again after it’s been silenced.
Musical Influences:
“I grew up on classic country - Conway Twitty, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton,” Jai Bird reflects. “But I’ve evolved toward lighter folk rock influences like Fleet Foxes and Crane Wives.”Her faith-based inspirations include Strahan, Josh Garrels, Rivers and Robots, and Tow’rs- artists who aren’t afraid to wrestle with deep spiritual questions through their music. This blend of country storytelling roots, indie folk sensibilities, and contemplative Christian artistry creates Jai Bird’s unique sound that honors her past while embracing her artistic evolution.
Please Don’t Feed the Dark
This album is a deeply introspective journey through faith, struggle, and redemption. Jai Bird’s contemplative approach to songwriting creates space for listeners to sit with difficult emotions and find meaning in life’s hardest chapters. Each track is built with poetic, multi-layered depth - lyrics that reveal new meanings on every listen, melodies that support profound storytelling.
The album moves through themes of loss, hope, spiritual questioning, and ultimately, the courage to rebuild yourself from the ground up.Expect songs that demand your full attention - this isn’t background music, but rather an invitation into contemplative moments where poetry meets melody and honest emotion meets inspiring resilience.
